Property giant Megaworld Corp. is set to develop a P6-billion central business district in its 85-hectare Northwin Global City township in Bulacan.
In a statement, the Andrew Tan-led firm said the 16-hectare Northwin Main Street will be masterplanned like New York City's Fifth Avenue and will offer 145 shophouse and commercial lots
Megaworld noted that turnover of the development is scheduled in 2026.
'Since the township is just conveniently located along the North Luzon Expressway and just 20 kilometers away from Metro Manila, this will be the nearest business district outside of the capital where companies and businesses can build their shops and offices,' Megaworld Executive Vice President for sales and marketing Noli Hernandez was quoted as saying in the statement.
'We also encourage entrepreneurs to become part of this global business district, which will soon be just 20 minutes away from the much-anticipated New Manila International Airport in Bulacan,' Hernandez continued
Megaworld announced earlier last month that it is earmarking P98 billion for the development of the Northwin Global City township in Marilao and Bocaue.
The township will be home to residential condominiums, hotels, malls, mixed-use commercial buildings, educational institutions and office towers.
Northwin Global City will also house one of the main stations of the Manila-Clark Railway Project.
Megaworld netted P8.6 billion in the first nine months of the year, a 6-percent increase from the P8.1 billion it posted in the same period last year.
The company's consolidated revenues also improved by 10 percent to P36.9 billion from P33.4 billion year-on-year during the period.
